Mon Guerlain Intense

Guerlain describes a woody amber: the Orphin vanilla tincture blends with Tahitensis vanilla and a smoldering patchouli, alongside lavender and sandalwood. For the house, this overdosed vanilla makes the fragrance more carnal and more addictive.

The lavender, harvested in Provence, carries an aromatic, floral freshness, and Sambac jasmine links the vanilla to the lavender. The house lends Tahitensis vanilla floral and almond accents, and sandalwood, grown mainly in Australia, a woody, creamy facet.

At the top, lavender pairs with mandarin and bergamot. The heart brings together iris, rose, Sambac jasmine and vanillas from Tahiti and Madagascar; the base blends patchouli, benzoin, licorice, coumarin, Australian sandalwood and white musk.

What the label declares

The label declares bergamot, lavender, rose, patchouli and Santalum album sandalwood oils, along with vanillin and coumarin. It also lists linalool, limonene, geraniol, citral, citronellol, farnesol, benzyl alcohol and hydroxycitronellal.

A UV filter, butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane, protects the fragrance from light. Three colorants, a violet, a red and a yellow, tint the current formula, whose ingredient list has changed several times since the 2019 launch.
