Love Don't Be Shy

Love, don’t be shy is the first fragrance Kilian Hennessy created for the house that bears his name. It came out in 2007 in L’Œuvre Noire, the brand’s inaugural collection, and its formula is signed by Calice Becker.

Kilian Hennessy says he wanted a gourmand unlike any other, and therefore to steer clear of the ethyl maltol and patchouli accord that had become common in the genre. He wanted it appetizing enough to make you want to take a bite of your loved one.

The house now places the fragrance in its The Narcotics family, the florals it says are composed like an addiction. The line includes an Extreme version, built on an overdose of Bulgarian rose, and an Eau Fraîche that heightens neroli and petitgrain.
