It became synonymous with the new Paris full of surprises, modernity, joie de vivre and rediscovered tenderness. It then evolved with its time, accompanying women from generation to generation until returning today in a brand new version named L'Aube. This is described as representing the first appearance of light in the sky before sunrise. Focus on this new floral and powdery perfume, which is set to launch around December 2016.

Before even discussing its scent, let us start by taking a closer look at its sumptuous bottle. While L'Air Du Temps was first presented in a case shaped like an ovalized sun, it was transformed in 1951 by Marc Lalique. This brilliant designer then sculpted two chiseled doves flying above a crystal swirl. It is precisely this allegory of love and tenderness that we find again today. L'Air Du Temps L'Aube has kept its transparent, finely sculpted base, in which a pale yellow juice reflects, evocative of sunlight at the first light of day. The whole is still topped with the famous doves of L'Air Du Temps. However, these are now covered with a feather hat created by Maison Lemarié. These feathers are entirely white and represent a symbol of purity and peace, true to the original symbolism of the dove, already present alongside Aphrodite in Antiquity.

The prestigious composition of L'Air Du Temps L'Aube

L'Air Du Temps L'Aube is already described as a particularly prestigious perfume. As such, it contains ingredients exclusively reserved for luxury perfumery. Its scent revolves mainly around Damask rose, a plant considered the queen of flowers, known for its tenderness and romanticism. It must be picked at dawn, exclusively by hand, before being distilled within a maximum of 24 hours, or else it loses olfactory quality. Then, L'Air Du Temps L'Aube evolves toward a scent of iris, one of the most expensive raw materials in perfumery due to its extremely low yield. This flower here deposits its complex and delicate flavor, at once powdery, woody, linear and very persistent. Carnation completes this ensemble with its floral and slightly spicy power, while lily brings a smooth and more sun-kissed sensation. Finally, the whole ends with a sillage based on amber. While, in nature, it is the resin of a tree, in perfumery, amber represents an accord woven from balsamic notes. It then envelops the whole in a subtle, very seductive and comforting blend.
