In perfumery, it is not uncommon to see several perfumers working together on a single creation. However, it is much more original to have each of them work independently, on a specific olfactory memory. This is precisely how L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022 by Issey Miyake was developed. In this feminine fragrance, each nose draws inspiration from a place they have visited. Then, each composes a scent based on that place, as if to convey to each of us the impression felt during these discoveries. This is how the top notes, heart and base notes of L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022 by Issey Miyake were conceived. The approach is original enough to be highlighted... And applauded!
L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022: a rich and luminous olfactory pyramid
Beyond this highly innovative way of composing, L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022 also displays a very varied olfactory pyramid. Here, numerous different raw materials come together to offer us a floral, very sun-kissed scent. Of course, the aquatic signature emblematic of Issey Miyake fragrances is present. However, it is enhanced by a multitude of other ingredients. Neroli, orange blossom and frangipani flower help brighten this fragrance. The freshness of this juice, meanwhile, comes from bergamot, lemon and orange. Rose, in turn, asserts the romantic, floral facet of this fragrance. This only heightens its feminine character. Finally, the ultimate addiction of L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022 by Issey Miyake rests on a trio of coconut milk, driftwood and musk. In turn, numerous olfactory registers are thus explored.
Kevin Lucbert’s personalized bottle
As for the bottle, L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022 takes exactly the same shape as its predecessors. It remains a glass pyramid, transparent and slender. This time, this fragrance is given a small red spray cap, matching the drawings present on its walls. Though it may seem quite simple, it is in fact the work of a great French artist: Kevin Lucbert, known for his drawings made with a ballpoint pen. He also enjoyed decorating the packaging of L’Eau d’Issey Summer Édition 2022. He drew subtle colorful motifs on it, such as shimmering plants. With simplicity, this decoration immerses us in a cheerful summer world.
