Where to buy

While the recipes of each of L'Artisan Parfumeur's fragrances have remained unchanged since their creation, they are nonetheless imbued with a very contemporary approach. Thus, the house offers an entirely new collection with the creation of the perfume Bucoliques de Provence.

L'Artisan Parfumeur's Provençal inspiration

The perfume Bucoliques de Provence marks the beginning of a new adventure for L'Artisan Parfumeur. It launches a new collection inspired by the beauty of different French regions. This first perfumed opus takes us to the heart of Provence. It immerses us in the region of Grasse, a town located not far from Nice and considered the cradle of French and world perfumery since the sixteenth century. It is therefore only logical that L'Artisan Parfumeur's perfumed journey should take root there. It pays tribute to the fragrant and lush lavender fields of this Mediterranean place as well as to the leather manufacturing historically native to this region. To achieve this, Bucoliques de Provence combines several exceptional raw materials. It contains Seillans lavender, a plant recognized for its rare quality. In fact, L'Artisan Parfumeur blended its essence and its absolute, giving its perfume more finesse and freshness in a truly floral surge. Juniper berries, for their part, enhance this flower, giving it a sharper and more striking character. Finally, Bucoliques de Provence closes with a leather accord built around an iris absolute that is somewhat powdery yet endowed with very pronounced leathery facets. Bucoliques de Provence is a surprising perfume with a sillage that is both soft and bold, one that cannot fail to stir the senses.

The bottle of Bucoliques de Provence

In terms of aesthetics, Bucoliques de Provence comes in a six-faceted glass bottle. It plays on transparency while being enhanced with a delicate black smoking effect. The whole is topped with an imposing black cap that aligns perfectly with a center decorated with marbled paper. Indeed, L'Artisan Parfumeur is fond of citing Athanasius Kircher Rome, according to whom marbling makes it possible to paint paper and transform colors into crashing sea waves, into varied marbles, into bird plumage and into all sorts of other figures. Thus, the marbled paper of the perfume Bucoliques de Provence is full of color and fantasy. It evokes books of old and is a pattern that is both simple and sophisticated. Just as writers once adorned their book covers with this paper, L'Artisan Parfumeur has today enhanced its perfume Bucoliques de Provence with it. The whole is signed by perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin and already promises to pave the way for many perfumed journeys.
