La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme is much more than a simple perfume. It is an invitation onto the path of happiness. This optimism is embodied on screen by the alluring actress Julia Roberts, filmed by director James Gray and sublimely dressed in an immaculate white gown created by the couturier Alexandre Vauthier.
La Vie est Belle, the undeniable success of the house of Lancôme released in 2012, is the parent of numerous sublime flankers. Thanks to two talented perfumers, Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion, 2017 held a new surprise in store: the arrival of La Vie est Belle L'Eclat. Although one might think that this pretty bottle, a smile with a thousand sparkles, is merely a rehash of La Vie est Belle, this is not the case. The framework remains, but La Vie est Belle L'Eclat promises some genuinely lovely olfactory novelties, make no mistake.
La Vie est Belle L'Eclat, or the fresh, sun-drenched smile of Anne Flipo and Dominique Ropion for Lancôme
Who does not know the bestseller of the 2010s, La Vie est Belle? How can one resist it, how can one resist this crystal smile that promises happiness and bliss? Impossible! And the phenomenal sales of La Vie est Belle and its seven flankers could not make anyone believe otherwise.
So how does one offer a new flanker without repeating the same accords? The two perfumers who created La Vie est Belle and its flankers achieved this feat with La Vie est Belle L'Eclat. As they confirm: This is a thorough reinterpretation. We readjusted notes, the way one would rework a musical score. We kept a base with a new thread — Anne Flipo on La Vie est Belle L'Eclat.
Thus, while we find certain fine elements of La Vie est Belle in La Vie est Belle L'Eclat, such as sambac jasmine, certain other ingredients were developed further, such as orange blossom, and other raw materials were added, such as the gourmand note of vanilla.
The scents of orange blossom and vanilla, true stars of La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat
As mentioned, La Vie est Belle L'Eclat is a magnificent new story based on La Vie est Belle, yet one that truly did not exist before. At the foundation of this new fantastical tale lies the choice to illuminate and enhance the orange blossom note, already present in La Vie est Belle, by giving it the leading role in the heart. This is, moreover, one of the favorite flowers of the creator Anne Flipo, which comes as no surprise given the beauty of the facets the perfumer has instilled into La Vie est Belle L'Eclat.
I have a real addiction to orange blossom. From Cologne to Oriental to Chypre, it can do everything. It has an incredible richness and complexity. On top of that, it feels good — Anne Flipo, creator, among others, of La Vie est Belle L'Eclat.
In order to bring out the beautiful sun-drenched luminosity of the orange blossom, Dominique Ropion had the idea of adding a vanilla note to heighten its gourmand character, without repeating the gourmand notes of the original juice.
Thus La Vie Est Belle L'Eclat still presents the beautiful fresh top notes and its floral heart of white flowers, but it literally lights up with the orange blossom-vanilla accord, blending better into its beautiful woody sensualities.
