Riding on this success, and as if to keep the legend alive, Dior reinvents its scent once again. This time, in 2020, J’Adore becomes J’Adore Infinissime. Dior relies on new ingredients to enhance its perfume
J’Adore Infinissime undeniably follows in the sillage of its predecessor. Thus, it remains a highly floral perfume, symbol of a free and romantic femininity. The woman who wears this perfume comes across as very elegant and seductive, displaying an innate sense of chic without pretense. However, J’Adore Infinissime is also more enveloping and surprising than before. To create this fragrance, Dior’s official perfumer, François Demachy, relied on new key ingredients. On one hand, he chose tuberose from the Grasse region to complete his floral bouquet. It upends the fleshy roundness of the first version of J’Adore. It proves more tenacious, striking and unsettling. Harvested in Provence, it also comes from the finest varieties available. Here, for added roundness, it is paired with sandalwood. The second innovative ingredient chosen by François Demachy, it gives this fragrance a milky, creamy side, an unprecedented and lasting woody roundness. J’Adore Infinissime has an unprecedented charm, confides François Demachy, voluptuous thanks to the tuberose from the Grasse region. By introducing it into the composition of J’Adore, he orchestrated an encounter: as if J’Adore seduced the unsettling tuberose, made it its own, reinvented it, gave it light. Thus, this flower immediately signs a powerful and assertive femininity.
J’Adore Infinissime, in a true jewel bottle
If the scent of J’Adore Infinissime is a resounding success, it must be acknowledged that its bottle is just as superb! As a reminder, it reuses many elements already present on the J’Adore bottle. Thus, its shape remains unchanged. It is still a glass amphora, whose curve echoes the natural generosity of women. Its figure-eight shape traces a slender waist very much inspired by the New Look style, introduced by Christian Dior himself in 1947. Thus, the J’Adore Infinissime bottle echoes the brand's history. A necklace formed by several golden rings wraps around its long neck. This is a nod to Maasai necklaces, giving this fragrance a universal reach along the way. However, this is precisely where the main difference between J’Adore Infinissime and J’Adore appears. For the very first time, this necklace seems to come undone. Its rings slide along the glass walls, as if trying to escape. In reality, this carries a message and a strong symbolism: the new J’Adore Infinissime woman is freer than before!
