Idylle

Guerlain introduced Idylle in September 2009. Thierry Wasser, now the house perfumer, signed his first feminine fragrance with it, and Guerlain describes it as a dream of love, the embodiment of a fleeting romance.

A bouquet and a rose

The perfumer says he imagined a fresh, joyful bouquet, like a hymn to love, dominated by a communelle of Bulgarian roses, a blend specific to Guerlain, of flowers harvested at daybreak. He paired it with the sensuality of chypre.

Idylle breaks with the house’s expected manner: neither a sumptuous oriental nor an emphatic Guerlinade, but a luminous floral designed for wide distribution. Guerlain now places it in its Les Légendaires collection, as a 75 ml eau de parfum.
