Hiris
Hiris, strong symbols for a powerful essence It was Thierry Hermès who founded the house of the same name in 1837. At first, the house of Hermès had nothing to do with the one known today.

Where to buy
It was simply a shop for horse accessories and Thierry Hermès met with success as early as the 1867 universal exposition. A prestigious and luxurious clientele came to supply itself there. It was in the 1950s that the brand ventured into perfumery with Eau d'Hermès, although it was Calèche that opened the doors for it. Conceived in 1999, Hiris is a fragrance that celebrates the beauty of iris… and that of women.
Every facet of Hiris
A name that is somewhat strange for a perfume… Hiris is the olfactory representation of several symbols. First, iris is a highly feminine flower, beautiful and elegant. In the language of flowers, iris is a symbol of love. Depending on the color, the symbol differs slightly. The first trace of iris was discovered along the Mediterranean around 3,000 years before Christ… So why is Hiris spelled here with an H? In reality it represents the H of the house of Hermès. Furthermore, Iris is a goddess of Greek mythology. Daughter of Thaumas and Electra, Iris is a kind of messenger of the gods. She is regarded as the goddess of the rainbow. Iris always leaves behind her a rainbow, symbol of the link between earth and sky, whose secret only she knows. As a result, Hiris, composed of noble ingredients, has an almost divine scent. Prestigious, it develops with grace, honoring the wonderful heritage it carries.
Iris at the heart of Hiris
Hiris was therefore built around iris, a noble and rare raw material of fine perfumery. Iris is an ephemeral flower that draws the secret of its scent from its roots. Its scent is unique, as if suspended in time. Both powdery and damp, iris here offers a soft and ultra-feminine sillage. In the top notes, iris is paired with neroli, rose and coriander. Iris reveals itself fully in the heart. White iris and black iris echo one another. In the base, ambrette, vanilla, almond tree and honey bring roundness to the whole composition. The bottle of Hiris is the emblematic bottle of the house of Hermès's classic perfumes. It echoes the lanterns that once adorned carriages.
A sumptuous fragrance, Hiris carries strong and powerful symbols. This essence echoes the flower, but also Greek mythology, and the brand's values. Iris, the flower, is of course at the heart of the composition. A rare, ultra-feminine fragrance.
