Burberry's love for music

Whatever corner of its activity, Burberry is a house that displays a particular love for music. Indeed, the house is fond of selecting carefully chosen rhythms for each of its shows. Likewise, Burberry Acoustic is the name of a musical platform dedicated to emerging young talents. Furthermore, Christopher Bailey, Burberry's chief creative officer, states: Music is something dear to me. It has always been part of my life. In other words, rhythm shows up everywhere within the house's activity. It is therefore only logical that Burberry decided to turn it into a perfume. Christopher Bailey continues: Brit Rhythm is inspired by the intoxication and adrenaline of live music and the electrifying energy of the crowd. In other words, Brit Rhythm is a bold perfume that reveals a very rock 'n' roll facet of the man. It is a fragrance discovered with passion, one that captures the charm of a man who is at once elegant, sexy and a music lover. Brit Rhythm seems to want to take us to the heart of an olfactory score rich in emotion.

The captivating scent of Brit Rhythm

To create Brit Rhythm, Burberry called on perfumers Dominique Ropion and Olivier Polge. Together they created a warm, contemporary and highly contrasted fragrance. Indeed, the idea was to release the raw, driving energy of music. This fragrance is meant to be particularly energizing. Brit Rhythm opens on invigorating tonalities of verbena, basil, cardamom and juniper berry. Its scent then develops toward a sensual, distinctive heart. This heart contains notably leather as well as styrax resin and an intensely woody note of patchouli. Moreover, this woody facet deliberately intensifies in the base, delivering a sillage composed mainly of cedar, incense and tonka bean. The bottle of Brit Rhythm, for its part, is very rock 'n' roll. Its black color recalls that of leather. Its texture, meanwhile, almost evokes that of a studded jacket. Indeed, this piece is typically characteristic of Burberry's wardrobe. Brit Rhythm plunges us into a unique moment. One would almost only need to close one's eyes to find oneself immersed in the darkness of a concert hall packed with people, ready to be electrified by the slightest sound.

In September 2013 Burberry will launch a new fragrance for men called Burberry Brit Rhythm. It is announced as a provocative, sexy perfume full of energy and adrenaline. Burberry – Burberry Brit Rhythm

Its green top notes represent the energy that prevails at music festivals; there are accords of fresh basil, verbena, spicy cardamom and juniper berries.

The heart includes black leather, patchouli and styrax, while the base presents an exciting blend of incense, intense cedarwood and warm, balsamic tonka bean.

The perfumers who signed the new Burberry Brit Rhythm edition are: Dominique Ropion, Anne Flipo and Olivier Polge.

It is very square, very graphic, it is linear, according to Bailey.
