Bloom Intense

Alessandro Michele has worked for the Gucci house since 2002. Nevertheless, it was in 2015 that he rose to the highest ranks of the house, taking on the role of creative director. It is to him that the house owes its renewal and its more androgynous aspect. Visionary and highly creative, Alessandro Michele also applied his expertise to perfumery. His very first fragrance was created in 2015. It was named Gucci Bloom. In 2023, although Alessandro Michele has not been with the house for a year, this fragrance returns to the forefront. More sensual, its successor is named Gucci Bloom Intense.

Alessandro Michele took over as creative director of Gucci in 2015. It then took two years for him to give birth to his first fragrance for women: Gucci Bloom. With it, he wanted a very rich white floral fragrance, a bold fragrance that transports one into an immense garden overflowing with flowers and plants, a bouquet of abundance. In 2023, this generous fragrance still generates buzz. It is even released in an even more sensual version. Here is our review of Gucci Bloom Intense.

Gucci Bloom Intense, the metaphor of a blossoming garden

With Gucci Bloom Intense, everything is a matter of abundance. It is akin to a garden in its wild state, overflowing with colors and reflecting the beauty of women in their diversity. There is something for everyone, states Gucci. […] It transports one elsewhere. In reality, Gucci Bloom Intense depicts the portrait of a free woman. It is a tribute to authenticity. She who wears it claims her freedom and blossoms all the more. She flowers! The metaphor is beautiful and fits perfectly with today's femininity, more eager than ever for emancipation.

The almost mystical aspect of Gucci Bloom Intense

Unlike its predecessors, Gucci Bloom Intense offers a slightly darker, more mysterious side. Indeed, Gucci explains that it is inspired by the magnetic forces of moonlight. Its purpose? To act as an elixir capable of revealing the inner light of women. Moreover, Gucci Bloom Intense seems to fully blossom at the heart of the night. It is a deep floral enchantment, designed to awaken the magic of one's being.

A composition akin to a luminous glow in the night

On the composition side, here too, Gucci Bloom Intense draws on an eclipse. Thus, this fragrance has a very radiant, luminous aspect, but also a darker facet. On one hand, it relies on a fresh, lively opening. Its dynamic sparkle comes from a pairing of pear, ginger and mandarin. These elements unfold a fruity, zesty, peppery scent, like a genuine jolt in everyday life! Yet the woman who wears this fragrance also has a more shadowy facet, as shown by its base notes of patchouli and moss. Coconut adds a touch of gourmand character to the whole. Lastly, the femininity of this creation resurfaces from a generous floral bouquet, made of jasmine, orange blossom and night-blooming cereus. The balance is perfect and the longevity is optimal. It is unquestionably the most sensual creation in the entire collection!

A bottle with a very retro spirit

Gucci Bloom Intense comes in a bottle with a very vintage spirit. Indeed, its label seems to have come straight out of the 1920s, in a distinctly Art Deco atmosphere. Its imposing shape, meanwhile, remains unchanged. Nevertheless, this glass cube is now lacquered in an opaque black, in perfect harmony with its world. Rest assured, however: Gucci's Herbarium toile de Jouy motif has not been forgotten and is indeed present on its box.
