Bloom Intense

Alessandro Michele has worked for the Gucci house since 2002. Nevertheless, it was in 2015 that he rose to the highest ranks of the house, taking on the role of creative director. It is to him that the house owes its renewal and its more androgynous aspect. Visionary and highly creative, Alessandro Michele also applied his expertise to perfumery. His very first fragrance was created in 2015. It was named Gucci Bloom. In 2023, although Alessandro Michele has not been with the house for a year, this fragrance returns to the forefront. More sensual, its successor is named Gucci Bloom Intense.

Gucci has always taken a deep interest in femininity. It has indeed made it its main source of inspiration, both for the making of its fashion items and for its accessories or fragrances. And it was thus that the fragrance Gucci Bloom was born, in 2015, as a generous profusion of white flowers. In 2023, a new chapter is written before our eyes, for an even more powerful and sensual rendering. Thus appears Gucci Bloom Intense, in a darker bottle.

The imposing build of the Gucci Bloom Intense bottle

Gucci Bloom Intense is a fragrance aimed at strong women, unafraid to claim their freedom and authenticity. And this whole character seems to resurface from the bottle of this fragrance. Gucci Bloom Intense comes in an imposing bottle, in which rigor prevails. Its glass is heavy. Its edges are sharp. Its shoulders are square. Its base is solid. She who wears this fragrance is endowed with an independent, untamable personality. Note, however, that a small touch of softness is provided by its cap. In contrast to the very cubic shape of this bottle, it resembles a small cylinder.

The new black lacquer of Gucci Bloom Intense

In the first version of Gucci Bloom Intense, softness was likewise provided by a pale pink opaque lacquer. This was, moreover, evocative of porcelain, a material very dear to Gucci, and more particularly to its creative director Alessandro Michele. Today, this soft shade has disappeared and been replaced by an intense, shimmering black. This is evocative of the nocturnal world of this fragrance. Indeed, Gucci Bloom Intense draws on an eclipse and on floral blossoming at dusk.

The retro style of Gucci Bloom Intense

As always, the front of this fragrance is decorated with an embossed paper label. It is bordered with a gold trim, while displaying very geometric shapes. This gives it a very Art Deco look. This is thus where the slightly vintage touch of this design comes from. Note, however, that the design on its label likewise draws on the dark intensity of a lunar eclipse.

The return of Gucci's timeless Herbarium toile de Jouy motif

Lastly, because the Gucci house seems simply inseparable from its Herbarium toile de Jouy motif, it has not been forgotten. It is now no longer displayed at all on the Gucci Bloom Intense label. However, it is indeed this motif that adorns the inside and outside of its box. The result is a timeless, highly feminine look, combining cherry blossom leaves and flowers, in a rose-burgundy tone.

Gucci Bloom Intense is available in three different sprays, in sizes of 30, 50 or 100 ml.
