Viktor & Rolf is a fairly recent house. Indeed, it made its appearance in 1995. Now, exactly ten years after the launch of their label, Viktor & Rolf decided to enter perfumery. This is how the perfume Flowerbomb was born. It did not fail to surprise with its atypical shape and its explosive composition. Also, after more than 10 years of existence, Viktor & Rolf chose to reinterpret this perfume, which had become a cult classic. Its new version is called Flowerbomb Bloom and offers a refreshed flanker of its predecessor. So, let us take a closer look at its new recipe.
Viktor & Rolf renews its collaboration with Domitille Bertier
To create this new version of Flowerbomb, the Viktor & Rolf house chose to call on a creator who had already worked on its very first recipe, from 2005. The house chose to collaborate once again with Domitille Bertier. A discreet young woman, she has an exemplary career path. Having trained at one of the most prestigious perfumery schools, the ISIPCA in Versailles, she is now considered one of the best creators in the world. In this instance, Flowerbomb was one of her very first juices to be recognized on the world stage. Since that day, Domitille Bertier has come a long way and has already worked with other great luxury houses. She now also holds the position of senior perfumer at IFF, the third-largest leader worldwide in the fragrance industry. It is therefore all this mastery acquired over time that is found in the composition of the new Flowerbomb Bloom.
Flowerbomb Bloom, a distillation of every facet of femininity
Flowerbomb Bloom is a perfume conceived like a fully accomplished woman endowed with countless facets. Thus, Flowerbomb Bloom is a sparkling, elegant, yet no less determined juice. It opens with a fresh, fruity blend. This perfume contains pomegranate and mandarin. Then, this initial citrus impression is quickly joined by a floral distillation worthy of all the refinement of the Viktor & Rolf woman. Flowerbomb Bloom showcases flowers widely used in feminine perfumery: Damask rose and jasmine. These are also paired with the lightness of freesia. Then, an unexpected accord of mountain air makes its appearance. It makes one want to breathe deeply, and on its own reveals all the boldness of the Viktor & Rolf house. Nevertheless, Flowerbomb Bloom is also a perfume that delights in playing on contrasts. As a result, it soon warms up. Its sillage in turn releases woody notes.
