Gucci presents Flora Gorgeous Magnolia in 2023, the third chapter of the Flora Fantasy line after Flora Gorgeous Gardenia and Flora Gorgeous Jasmine. The house attributes the composition to Daphné Bugey and Marie Salamagne. The fragrance pairs a wild blackberry accord with magnolia and patchouli essence. A wild blackberry accord, dewberry, opens with coconut, from which the house draws a vanilla freshness, smooth and addictive.
Heart
Magnolia essence holds the heart, with sambac jasmine absolute, whose green and warm intensity Gucci describes, and clary sage, aromatic, which balances the sweetness of the flowers.
Base
Patchouli, which the house calls Indonesian, subtly earthy and leathery, anchors the base with musk and a blond woods accord, soft and sensual.
What the Label Declares
The short ingredients list names only the declared allergens. Benzyl salicylate, balsamic and sun-kissed, comes first; hydroxycitronellal, linalool, citronellol, hexyl cinnamal and farnesol trace the white flowers announced, magnolia and jasmine.
Alpha-isomethyl ionone contributes its powdery, woody facet, coumarin its almond-like base; limonene, geraniol and isoeugenol complete the list. No colorant is declared: the tint belongs to the bottle, not the juice.
