Where to buy
Each one of them is an evocation of travel. Moreover, what better place than a vacation to bring couples closer together and invite a moment of physical intimacy. Such is the ambition of this perfume, conceived as a second skin that one would irremediably want to taste.
Louis Vuitton invites us to closeness
This is not the first time that the house of Louis Vuitton has tried to establish itself as a perfumer. Nevertheless, this endeavor ended in failure on several occasions. This is why Louis Vuitton this time decided to go all out by calling on one of the greatest perfumers in the world to become its exclusive nose. Thus, since 2012, Jacques Cavallier Belletrud has joined the Louis Vuitton company. He then set himself the challenge of creating an olfactory collection synonymous with travel. Indeed, Louis Vuitton has always been intimately linked to this world. Moreover, the house became famous thanks to its leather travel trunks. After four years of hard work, he presented his range of essences. This constitutes an assemblage of figurative essences linked to travel. The perfume Dans la Peau relates more specifically to the closeness of two bodies letting go under the exoticism of the sun warming their skin.
The sun-kissed eroticism of Dans la Peau
Many couples would confirm that travel has this exceptional power of giving a taste for embrace. Thus, Dans la Peau is a perfume evocative of a torrid moment. It was conceived as an infusion of leather that invites the exploration of the senses. Moreover, leather is also a material that pays tribute to the entire history of the house of Louis Vuitton. It is therefore quite naturally that it found its place at the heart of this perfume. It constitutes the backbone of this juice. Various ingredients then come to attach themselves to this major component. Apricot enriches Dans la Peau with its fruity, velvety and almost candied tonalities. Jasmine, for its part, makes the whole brighter, as if the destination of our journey were radiating with a brilliant sun. Two varieties of this plant coexist in this composition. Dans la Peau notably contains jasmine from Grasse and sambac jasmine from China. Likewise, narcissus absolute makes the whole airier and more feminine. The whole is nevertheless softened by the presence of tobacco combined with more vegetal tonalities. Magnolia from China also makes the whole more carnal. Nevertheless, let us not forget that this is a wildly sensual perfume. Yet it would be nothing without the presence of musk. This ingredient reveals to us the full complexity of its facets. It appears sometimes powdery, animalic, clean or floral.
