Where to buy

Cartier launched Déclaration Eau de Parfum in 2024, a new version of Déclaration, the masculine fragrance that Jean-Claude Ellena had composed in 1998. The house states that Déclaration inaugurated at the time an unprecedented accord, fresh, spicy and woody.

Mathilde Laurent, Cartier's perfumer, signs the formula. She sees in the 1998 accord a timeless signature, which keeps its power of attraction from one generation to the next.

Cartier describes a spicy and woody sillage, heightened by a fresh note.

The eau de parfum joins a line that already includes, among others, Déclaration d’un Soir, Déclaration Parfum and Déclaration Haute Fraîcheur.

The bottle keeps the vertical silhouette of the line, a transparent glass sculpture where, according to the house, a heart seems to beat. It is refillable.

Olfastory’s review

Two signed reviews praise this version. L’Ancien, of La Parfumerie Podcast, judges it unmissable for fans of the classic; Varanis Ridari, on his blog The Scented Devil, sees it as a bridge between the original from 1998 and Déclaration Parfum.
