Déclaration Parfum

Déclaration Parfum, signed by Mathilde Laurent in 2018, extends the eau de toilette Jean-Claude Ellena created for Cartier twenty years earlier. The house makes it an intense, enveloping woody amber that combines the depth of cedar, the opulence of amber notes and the sensuality of vanilla. Its bottle, with shoulders shaped into a heart, is now refillable.

Déclaration Parfum came out in 2018, twenty years after Déclaration Eau de Toilette, created in 1998 by Jean-Claude Ellena. Mathilde Laurent, Cartier’s in-house perfumer, signed this Parfum version to celebrate the original’s anniversary.

A more intense version

The house presented the fragrance as the direct heir of the eau de toilette, whose woody and spicy facets it accentuates and deepens. Like the original, it is meant for expressing the things that matter.

It belongs to a line rich in flankers, including Déclaration d’un Soir and Déclaration Eau de Parfum, two other readings of Cartier’s masculine fragrance.

A new presentation

The house has since redesigned the bottle of the Déclaration line to make it lighter and refillable. It now describes Déclaration Parfum as an intense, enveloping woody amber, meant for a passionate declaration.
