Paco Rabanne finally unveils the Black XS woman. Paco Rabanne is a particularly innovative designer. He displayed profound audacity throughout his career and became just as celebrated in perfumery as in Haute Couture. Thus, the public delights each time in discovering a new universe through his fragrances.
The masculine perfumes of the Paco Rabanne house have been a true success since XS in 1993, whereas the feminine perfumes have not yet reached the same level despite some beautiful creations. With Black XS for Her in 2007, it would seem that Paco Rabanne and its two perfumers finally have the house's bestselling feminine perfume. Its powerful effluvia would mark the entry of Paco Rabanne perfumes into an era of excess, but also of success!
Black XS for Her, or the highly rock creation of Emilie Bevierre Coppermann and Mark Buxton
Paco Rabanne is a designer of overflowing creativity and futuristic originality. The masculine perfumes in his range seem entirely consistent with his haute-couture creations, whereas his feminine perfumery creations struggle to be understood, as was the case for the otherwise magnificent Ultraviolet. It was by embarking on the creation of opulent, excessive and highly noticed perfumes that Paco Rabanne achieved his greatest successes, as with the Black XS pair, the One Million pair, or indeed the Invictus-Olympéa pair.
Black XS pour Elle would thus be the very first perfume where Paco Rabanne dared. Dared to take the opposite stance from tender perfumed structures, to break the codes of a perfumery that, despite fine innovations, remains rather classic…
By calling on Emilie Bevierre Coppermann and Mark Buxton, the composition of Black XS for Her promised fine originality, and evidently no one was disappointed! Mark Buxton is precisely a perfumer who goes against the current and delights in creating thoroughly innovative perfumes. As for Emilie Bevierre Coppermann, she offers vibrant and highly innovative perfumed compositions. The two perfumers moreover worked together at Symrise to create the Play perfumes for Givenchy, or indeed for the Comme des Garçons perfume house.
She [Emilie (Bevierre) Coppermann] had the courage to try new ideas and the skill to create seductive fragrances with her unique creative talent. She is a source of inspiration for her colleagues and her work is one of the reasons for Symrise's success. We are always excited to await her next fantastic creation, which moreover always aligns with the latest trends. Heinz-Jürgen Bertram, CEO of Symrise AG.
Black XS pour Elle, or Paco Rabanne's first perfume of excess…
The Symrise perfumers in charge of composing Black XS for Her had fun offering us a fragrance caught between light and darkness that plays with its sensuality to provoke.
Indeed, upon entering Black XS for Her, it is a powerful light that overtakes us between tamarind flowers and sharp pink pepper. Yet redcurrant already darkens this picture, which quickly becomes tinged at heart with a rather dark hellebore rose and a black violet. The fruity light of apple and raspberry blends beautifully with the shadow of these sensual flowers. Finally, gourmand vanilla and cocoa to one's heart's content propel us toward a bath of warm and carnal woods…
Black XS pour Elle, a multiple, disturbing perfume. Bright and dark. A rose plunged into an excess of wood and black vanilla. An ambiguous flower, uncompromising. Paco Rabanne on Black XS pour Elle.
