Burberry Brit is a fragrance that appeared in 2003 and clearly aimed to remain faithful to British tradition. In fact, that is precisely where its name comes from. This perfume offered the image of a singular woman, always anchored in the authentic history of England while being resolutely turned toward the future. It was a floral and fruity fragrance, with a recipe that seemed fairly simple on the surface but that still concealed many surprises. Then, a year later, its masculine counterpart appeared. At the same time, Burberry Brit Red revealed itself to be more sensual and mischievous than ever. It wrapped itself in rhubarb and mandarin for an even more bewitching result. The following year, in 2005, Burberry Brit became more glamorous and turned into Burberry Brit Gold. This one highlighted magnolia and neroli, two airy ingredients underscoring the original accord of this fragrance enriched with iris, sandalwood and amber. It was then, in 2007, that Burberry Brit Sheer made its appearance. Since then, it has also been reinterpreted into a Noël version, in 2010, as well as into a fresher eau for summer, in 2012. This fragrance was created by the talented perfumer Emilie Coppermann. Burberry Brit Sheer is a perfume that was conceived with extreme freshness. It opens with a very fruity blend. Of course, it kept its citrus notes from before. It delivers here a tangy mandarin flavor complemented by the more sparkling presence of yuzu, a small Japanese citron. Lychee and pineapple, for their part, bring to this fragrance a juicier, fruitier and more exotic flavor. Moreover, this gourmand character continues into the heart of Burberry Brit Sheer, wrapped in a very flavorful pear. This is then accompanied by a floral bouquet revealing the feminine beauty of peony and peach blossom. Finally, Burberry Brit Sheer rests on an enveloping and delicate base woven with white musk and blond wood. In terms of aesthetics, Burberry Brit Sheer echoes the look of its predecessors. Nevertheless, its imposing rectangular case has this time transformed its color to present the emblematic Burberry pattern entirely rendered in pink. The whole becomes thus absolutely feminine.
