Air Di Gioia, an ode to happiness

In 2010, Armani launched Acqua Di Gioia as if to give thanks for the benefits of profound nature. Incidentally, the word Gioia means “joy” in Italian. Thus, this fragrance highlights a feeling of fullness, authenticity and serenity. It is a bit as if nature helped us to recharge and to refocus on ourselves. Armani thus captured the uplifting energy of air to bottle it. Air Di Gioia then appears as an almost vital breath charged with multiple benefits. It is a concentrate of light, pleasure and sensuality. The latter is contained in a bottle that is both simple and feminine, common to the Armani trilogy. Moreover, this trilogy brings together Acqua Di Gioia, Air Di Gioia and Sun Di Gioia. These three containers are an embodiment of the creative principles of life and are designed in the image of an unadorned beauty. Armani has here created a sober and smooth design, without any embellishment, whose beauty is sufficient in itself. Femininity appears transparent and pure, luxurious yet authentic. Air Di Gioia comes in a light blue shade. Only its cap is slightly deeper in tone. The whole displays voluptuous curves as if to suggest that it is a concentrate of grace and femininity.

The floral and woody scent created by Armani

In order to create this fragrance, the house of Armani called on the talented perfumer Dominique Ropion. He conceived this juice as a genuine surge of freedom. Air Di Gioia thus displays a particularly energizing lift. This fragrance bursts with notes of mandarin combined with neroli. This is the name given to the essential oil obtained from the distillation of orange blossom. Thus, Air Di Gioia comes across as floral, rich, citrus and suave. In this sense, it would almost bring to mind an eau de Cologne. Nevertheless, its invigorating temperament soon reveals itself through the spicy presence of pink pepper. This uplifting accord then evolves toward a more floral heart. Orange blossom takes over from neroli. Its radiant luminosity is paired with the exoticism of ylang-ylang. The femininity of the whole is in turn highlighted by the presence of peony. Finally, Air Di Gioia closes on an airy sillage built on patchouli. This is nevertheless worked in a very clear way, combined with moss as well as white musks. As its name suggests, Air Di Gioia is a most airy fragrance.
