Chypre and feminine, Vénus de Nina Ricci (2024) brings together Olivier Cresp, Nathalie Lorson and Louis Monnet. Magnolia and mandarin in the top notes, fig and jasmine in the heart, patchouli and vanilla in the base compose this balanced Eau de Parfum.
Amber lacquered glass set with two hand-brushed gold shells, black cap engraved with the logo; refillable Pochet du Courval bottle in 50 and 80 ml sizes.
The bottle is made of amber lacquered glass, set with two hand-brushed gold shells, in an Art Deco spirit. It is topped with a glossy black cap of organic shape, engraved with the Nina Ricci logo and designed to evoke a pearl. Nina Ricci places this object within the tradition of Lalique's sculptural bottles and presents it as a figurative bottle, an original symbol of femininity; the house also links this return to craftsmanship to Robert Ricci's vision, for whom a perfume had to be a masterpiece.
The bottle is manufactured by Pochet du Courval: the amber lacquer covers a glass whose complex shape required a mold with moving parts, while scallop shell-shaped plates, in cold-forged aluminum with a brushed gold finish, are glued to the front and back. The cap is made of Novassu. A press description evokes a multi-faceted amber case and shells brushed one by one by hand.
The 50 and 80 ml sizes are refillable using a 200 ml refill bottle equipped with Techniplast's RT-Twist technology. Some retailers detail the refilling process, with the refill's nozzle sliding into the bottle's neck, and list both sizes as compatible with the same refill.
