Deci Delà

Nina Ricci launched Deci Delà in 1994, backed by a vast campaign meant to rejuvenate the house and win over a younger clientele. The fragrance arrived with an entire makeup line, Le Teint Ricci, dressed in a shared style.

The name takes up the French expression “deçà, delà,” here and there. The composition is by Jean Guichard, a perfumer from Grasse also behind Loulou for Cacharel and Obsession for Calvin Klein, who signed Les Belles de Ricci for the house two years later.

The packaging was entrusted to the design duo Élisabeth Garouste and Mattia Bonetti, running against the minimalism that then dominated cosmetics. Deci Delà has not been made since the 2000s; it can only be found as old stock.
