The house builds Vendetta Uomo on three signature notes: a Peruvian ginger for the top, an exclusive cinnamon liquor accord for the heart, a patchouli essence for the base. Its press release adds the freshness of Italian citrus, a blend of spices and a carnal woods accord.

A Peruvian ginger extracted with CO2

The ginger comes from the high forests of Peru. The house describes a supercritical CO2 extract, developed over two years and some hundred trials, that captures the whole root, from its bursting zest to its spicy warmth, with the effect of a ginger shot downed in one go.

A cinnamon liquor at the heart

The heart lies in an accord the house calls exclusive: a cinnamon liquor with a spicy, gourmand warmth, heightened by a blend of spices in the press release. Patric Rhys finds it sweet without excess, closer to the liquor than to the cinnamon.

Patchouli and woods at the base

Chosen for its vibrant profile according to the house, the patchouli essence forms a dense yet luminous base, both sharp and smooth, joined by a carnal woods accord. Patric Rhys detects a warm woody spice, steeped in honeyed resins, and a woody, musky, amber freshness.

What remains outside the declared accord

The Italian citrus, the blend of spices and the carnal woods of the press release are not detailed by the house and stay in the prose: the product page lists only the ginger, the cinnamon liquor and the patchouli, three notes in all.

What the label declares

The house’s list has forty-six lines. After alcohol, Parfum and water come a synthetic woody compound, coumarin, vanillin, bergamot peel oil, carvone, linalyl acetate, limonene, linalool, a first UV filter, lemon peel oil and santalol.

Among the rest are lavender, Virginia cedar, patchouli, cinnamon bark and geranium oils, Peru balsam, anethole, cinnamal, rose ketones and three colorants, orange, violet and red. Neither lilial nor lyral appears on it.
