Un Jardin sous la Mer is Hermès’s 2026 Parfum-Jardin, composed by Christine Nagel after a coral garden in the lagoon of Taha’a, in French Polynesia. The house describes it as a floral, musky fragrance combining a radiant tiare flower, the enveloping character of the tamanu nut and mineral notes that evoke the reef.

The bottle takes up Fred Rawyler’s design, inspired by the lines of the lanterns of old horse-drawn carriages and used again for each Parfum-Jardin. Its blue gradient reflects, according to the house, the azure of the sky and the crystal-clear waters of the lagoon of Taha’a.
The box bears watercolors by the Finnish artist Aino-Maija Metsola, which depict the coral reef, bursting with life and color. For each Parfum-Jardin, Hermès invites an illustrator to decorate the box and gives them carte blanche.
The eau de toilette comes in 30, 50 and 100 ml, and a 200 ml refill, sold separately, can fill all three sizes. “Everything starts with a drawing”, Pierre-Alexis Dumas, who leads the house’s artistic creation, says of the boxes.
