The beautiful Trésor was born in 1990 from the talent of Sophia Grosjman, the mistress of rose, for the venerable house of Lancôme. Its fruity-floral accords quickly propelled it to the rank of the house’s bestseller, a bestseller that seemed unshakeable despite the years. Yet two perfumers with some of the most celebrated noses in the world dared to challenge the beautiful powdery fragrance in 2010, ushering it into a new era, a new love story that would be called Trésor in Love.

The blend of fruity-gourmand modernity and floral-powdery classicism made Trésor, released in 1990, one of the best-selling perfumes in France as well as throughout the world. Yet Trésor does not ride the wave of the opulent fragrances so fashionable in the 1980s, except in its sillage. On the contrary, Trésor is a blend of woody strength and rosy fragility, in the image of the woman of the 1990s. A rose that is at once classic and modern, translated to perfection by Sophia Grosjman, who signs with Trésor one of her greatest successes.
How to challenge this titan of perfumery without distorting it? How to modernize the formula of this beloved rose without losing the magic of its grace? These were the many questions Dominique Ropion and Véronique Nyberg asked themselves, both in charge of creating what would become Trésor in Love, the perfumed offspring of the 1990s Trésor.
But the two perfumers have talent to spare and a deep respect for the work previously done by their colleague on Trésor. Thus, with Trésor in Love, they did not seek to change the accords but rather to rebalance them with very contemporary fruity notes, in the fullest respect for the beauty of the original Trésor.
An eternal rose and fruity accords for a Trésor in Love more contemporary than ever
Perfumer Véronique Nyberg does not hesitate to declare her love for this Trésor in Love, which she loves almost as much as its predecessor: Are there iconic perfumes? There are several, those our grandmothers introduced us to, like Shalimar by Guerlain, and those I had the chance to work on, like Trésor by Lancôme, in order to create Trésor in Love in 2010. And it must be said that the precious Trésor in Love did everything to seduce us right from its very fresh top notes, which play with citrus notes as well as with piquant pink pepper and pepper. At the heart, the delicate and luxurious flowers of jasmine, rose and violet play on the love of their creator Dominique Ropion, casting a spell of floral breeze created by their perfumed father. Of course, the touch of peach remains at the center of all attention. Finally, musk and cedar form a powerful sillage that wraps us in a halo of dazzling, tender light.
