Oud Ispahan is the shared eau de parfum François Demachy composed in 2012 for La Collection Privée Christian Dior. A woody floral silhouette for the house: an enveloping oud wood against a sensuous Damask rose, which Wikiparfum rounds out with labdanum cistus, cedar, sandalwood, saffron and Indonesian patchouli. In 50, 100 and 200 ml, with an Esprit de Parfum since 2024.
Fishler (The Non-Blonde) rolls her eyes at the rose-oud theme, before ending up liking it a great deal; Olfactorum praises its density, accuracy and softness.

Gaia Fishler, in October 2012, wonders why Dior commissioned Demachy to create a theme as predictable as a rose oud, and rolls her eyes at the dirty rose, medicinal oud and patchouli of the opening. Over time, she admits to liking it a great deal, for its soft wood and its angular, almost incensey rose.
Olfactorum: dense, accurate, coherent
Olfactorum, in 2021, notes the density of the treatment, the accuracy of the notes and a coherent, rather soft development, which the first impression did not let one guess. What he truly likes, he writes, is the very warm honeyed base, sweetened by the cistus, where the materials bind together to the point of blending into one another.
