Bois Obscur

Bois Obscur takes its place within Byredo's Night Veils collection, whose return in 2025 marks the tenth anniversary of its first edition. This line welcomes this new title in Extrait de Parfum format, a concentration that amplifies the density of the materials used. The perfumer behind the composition has not been disclosed.

The olfactory pyramid opens on a top trio combining saffron, with its spicy and slightly metallic facets, eucalyptus, whose camphorous and fresh register contrasts with the warmth of the spice, and papyrus, a dry material with vegetal and dusty nuances. The heart brings together creamy, milky tuberose, jasmine with indolic accents, and oud, a resinous wood with animalic facets. The base is anchored in a mineral accord built around amber, complemented by earthy patchouli, labdanum with balsamic and resinous tonalities, and soft, milky sandalwood.
