Where to buy

The Hugo Boss fragrance saga is decidedly never done making headlines. Since the release of the very first Boss Bottled in 1998, the house has kept developing reinterpretations of this cult fragrance. As a result, every man can find something for himself and can claim an olfactory signature closer to his own personality. Moreover, the story is far from over, since Hugo Boss has already announced the release of a brand new addition for 2019: Boss Bottled Oud Saffron. More spicy and fiery than ever, it is aimed at men who are not afraid to stand out, without ever lacking refinement.

Boss Bottled Oud Saffron, when spice and luxury play in the same register

Boss Bottled Oud Saffron is a striking fragrance that preserves all the elegance of its predecessors while bringing a more fiery, incandescent dimension. Its heightened power is evident from the very opening. Boss Bottled Oud Saffron builds on one of the most spicy and most luxurious flavors in the world: saffron. An absolute symbol of oriental fragrances, it unfolds here with a leathery, slightly tarry scent. Also nicknamed red gold, saffron firmly places Boss Bottled Oud Saffron within the noble register of fine perfumery. For this occasion it is paired with another iconic ingredient: rose. Usually reserved for feminine compositions, this flower gives Boss Bottled Oud Saffron more lightness and elegance. Its romantic quality is soon carried forward by a warmer resin. Cistus takes center stage in this composition. Coming from a Mediterranean shrub, it unfolds here with its resinous, woody, animalic breath. Cistus speaks volumes about the fire of this fragrance and is eventually carried forward by oud wood. Increasingly used by perfumers, this precious wood stands out for its olfactory richness and its rarity. Derived from wood attacked by a fungus, it gives Boss Bottled Oud Saffron a bolder, more surprising masculinity.

Hugo Boss darkens its bottle with a copper brown

As if to embody all the warmth it holds within, the Boss Bottled Oud Saffron bottle takes on a brand new color. Its once-transparent glass walls have completely disappeared in favor of a copper brown lacquer. Mysterious and deep, this shade fits perfectly with the new masculinity of the Hugo Boss house. The whole is topped with a gold cap. The rest of the design of Boss Bottled Oud Saffron, however, remains similar to that of its predecessors. This fragrance comes in a cylindrical flask, with its name embossed on the glass. Its solid base speaks volumes about the stability and reliability of the Hugo Boss man.
