Moustache Eau de Parfum was launched by Rochas in 2018, when the house revived Edmond Roudnitska’s 1949 masculine. Composed by Nathalie Gracia-Cetto, this version, unrelated to the original, makes sensuality its stance: mandarin and pink pepper, Bulgarian rose and Atlas cedar, patchouli and benzoin, in a cylindrical bottle with a red label.
Rochas describes three stages. Mandarin, juicy and tangy, opens against the spicy warmth of pink pepper; an elegant, woody heart pairs Bulgarian rose with Atlas cedar, masculine and feminine codes intertwining to throw you off the scent; the base grows warmer with patchouli and benzoin.
Vanilla, often attributed to this base, does not appear in the house’s current description; it stays out. The amber-colored juice, according to Rochas, materializes the warmth and sensuality of the composition.
What the label declares
The ingredient list on the house’s page is short: alcohol, fragrance, and water, three sunscreen filters and an antioxidant, the allergens to be declared, citral, citronellol, limonene, geraniol, and linalool, methyl 2-octynoate, and three colorants that tint the juice.
