Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum The year 2017 was particularly memorable for the house of Guerlain. The prestigious French perfumery managed to win over the heart of one of the greatest actresses on the planet to make her the face of the campaign.
The house of Guerlain draws strength from an absolutely flamboyant present thanks to La Petite Robe Noire and its undiminished success, as well as from a past rich in cult fragrances such as Mitsouko, Shalimar, and Samsara. In composing Mon Guerlain, Thierry Wasser wanted to pay tribute to these timeless fragrances while reaffirming its values of modernity. It is safe to bet that the very first flanker of Mon Guerlain, Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum, will follow the same glorious path as its predecessor…
Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum becomes the spring flower of the Guerlain woman
Mon Guerlain was a fine opportunity for the house of Guerlain and its in-house perfumer to reaffirm the splendid notes and accords that made up the house's olfactory legacy and renown, such as sambac jasmine or the famous natural vanilla discovered in its synthetic form in Jicky and used for the first time in modern perfumery by Aimé Guerlain.
Beyond this prestigious past, Mon Guerlain also highlighted the importance of the human and ethical partnerships that the house of Guerlain maintains with its growers. The famous Carla lavender note in Mon Guerlain, sourced from the lands of Provence, is one of the sublime results. Mon Guerlain is also, and above all, a completely original and innovative fragrance inspired by the multifaceted personality of the modern woman (wonderfully embodied by Angelina Jolie), drawing complex, divinely oriental gourmand accords.
How, then, could one imagine that this magnificent Mon Guerlain would have no successor? Thus, in the spring of 2018, Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum was born, once again imagined and created by Thierry Wasser with the assistance of Delphine Jelk. Mon Guerlain, then Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum, have certainly not finished surprising us, and above all, intoxicating us with flowers and magic, between absolute modernity and accords divinely mastered by the house of Guerlain for decades.
The meeting of a peony and a magnificent sambac jasmine for a magical Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum
For this Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum, the perfumers chose to offer a floral accord pushed to the height of its femininity, thanks to delicate peony notes surrounded by an overdosed Indian sambac jasmine that wraps us in its light. The clearly stated goal of this Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum is to evoke dreams of eternal springs…
Thus Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum opens once again on the aromatic, fresh accord of Carla lavender and bergamot. At heart, the feminine floral bouquet unfolds like a sun, cradling us in the delicacy of jasmine and the surprise guest of this fragrance, peony. Neroli blossom, enhanced for this new opus with paradisone, completes this idyllic picture. Finally, iris, sandalwood and vanilla close this dance of spring flowers with a modern Guerlinade, reworked for the occasion.
I wanted to draw the olfactory portrait of a woman of the twenty-first century, at once a working girl, mother, wife, lover and above all man's equal, said Thierry Wasser to Madame Le Figaro about Mon Guerlain. For Mon Guerlain Florale Eau de Parfum, it is safe to bet that, for the perfumer, feminine delicacy prevailed over all the other facets of the original bottle.
