Lumière d'Issey: new solar pillar, or one more floral-musky in an already crowded segment? Issey Miyake launches Lumière d'Issey in March 2026, presented as a new feminine pillar built around the idea of “wearing light”. Composition signed by the duo Fabrice Pellegrin and Marie Salamagne (Givaudan), in refillable Eau de Parfum, 30-50-100 ml. On paper: neroli, green mandarin, orange blossom, freesia, white musk, pistachio, sandalwood. A sun-kissed floral-woody-musky territory that, precisely, is not short of already well-established neighbors.
Lotus, powdery and fresh, freesia, luminous and jasmine-like, and rose, fresh and warm, occupy the top; lotus and rose alone share a freshness that freesia does not display.
Lily, white and soft floral, peony, tender and rosy, and magnolia, green and vanillic, make up the heart, each with its own quality: softness, tenderness, greenness.
White musks, sensual and coppery, and wood, sensual and creamy, hold the base: sensuality links them, while copperiness and creaminess set them apart.
