The fragrance Bois d’Amande is the work of perfumer Sidonie Lancesseur. Here, everything revolves around cedar. It is the cornerstone of this exceptional fragrance. The cedar used by Van Cleef & Arpels comes from Virginia and delivers all the beauty of a noble wood, between gourmand character and delicacy. Gradually, it becomes more powdery or almond-like. In its base, it is even accompanied by vanilla-tinged musks for a more animalic and smooth result. In composing this new fragrance, the perfumer states in a press release, she had in mind the image of almond trees under the Italian sun. She wanted to create a beautiful contrast between the verticality of the woody notes and the irresistible tenderness of an almond accord as well as a vanilla base.
