In perfumery as in life, there are stories one never tires of rediscovering. Such is the case of L'Eau d'Issey, the first fragrance by designer Issey Miyake, born in 1992. With wit and modesty, he said at the time of its release, I only walk half the way.
Lemon and rose meet on freshness in the top notes, one tangy, the other warm; blackcurrant, green and sulfurous, occupies this same position on a sharper register.
Raspberry and hibiscus, both sweet, share the heart, the former also sugary; freesia, luminous and jasmine-like, accompanies them with its jasmine.
Sandalwood and white musks meet in the base through their animalic character, one woody, the other coppery.
