The origins of L'Air du Temps Eau Florale

L'Air du Temps Eau Florale is a perfume whose origins deserve to be highlighted. Indeed, its very first version, L'Air du Temps, was created in 1948, in the aftermath of the war. With this fragrance, Robert Ricci wanted to symbolize the change in behavior and philosophy of the women of his time. Indeed, after years of deprivation and sadness, they wanted, more than ever, to seize life to the fullest. Eager to share their optimism, it had to be felt even in their perfume. This is how L'Air du Temps came about. A perfume synonymous with change, it went through the ages and never ceased to win followers along the way. Yet, it took many years before it was modernized for the first time. This happened in 2006 with the creation of L'Air du Temps Colombes Couleur. It explored a lighter floral theme than before. In 2007, it was L'Eau du Temps' turn to transform this legend by making it even brighter. In 2009, L'Air du Printemps echoed the arrival of fine weather. There, the house of Nina Ricci took a brief pause before giving birth to a new collection of three perfumes derived from L'Air du Temps, in 2016. As one will have understood, L'Air du Temps Eau Florale is only a new chapter in a story that keeps reinventing itself.

Nina Ricci's new recipe

L'Air du Temps Eau Florale reinvents history without forgetting its origins. This can be seen even in its bottle. L'Air du Temps Eau Florale takes up the same visual as its predecessors. Note, however, that its bottle only took this shape starting in 1951. It was designed by Marc Lalique. As if to symbolize peace regained, he decided to fashion two chiseled doves flying above a swirl of crystal. An allegory of love and tenderness, this bottle now transforms into a particularly festive and feminine pink hue. Its neck, meanwhile, is now adorned with a sumptuous gold thread. Finally, its cardboard box is covered with a multitude of flowers. It must be said that flowers are at the center of the composition of L'Air du Temps Eau Florale. The heart of this fragrance blends gardenia, orange blossom and honeysuckle. Its sun-kissed rendering is further accentuated by an airy and invigorating opening based on citrus. L'Air du Temps Eau Florale notably contains lemon and bergamot. Finally, it darkens somewhat at its base, giving way to woody nuances as well as the sensuality of musk.
