It was perfumer Michel Girard who created the Hugo Red fragrance. He chose to play on contrasts. This composition rests on two accords that seem, on the surface, entirely opposed. On one side, Hugo Red contains very fresh tonalities. On the other, it displays a fiery temperament. It thus opposes “solid cold” and “liquid heat”. In other words, it is from this paradox that all its energy emanates. Its fresh facet rests notably on a combination of grapefruit and rhubarb. Together, these two ingredients give it an almost metallic bitterness. In parallel, the warm facet of this juice is symbolized by the presence of amber and cedarwood.
