Eau d'Ikar
Eau d’Ikar, the first men’s fragrance signed by Sisley. After nearly twenty years working on the project of a men’s fragrance, the house of Sisley finally launched a perfume for men in 2011.

Where to buy
Of course, Eau d’Ikar would be nothing ordinary: poetic while being virile, fresh while being warm, and above all very proud of its Corsican roots exhaled through the splendid mastic. Sisley surprises once again with an original and distinguished fragrance that is savored as much with the eyes as with the nostrils...
Eau d’Ikar, Sisley’s poetic and distinguished fragrance made just for them
Sisley’s fragrance projects have always been inspired by the loves and passions of Isabelle and Hubert d’Ornano far more than by trends or marketing impulses. In fact, if the house had never before offered a men’s fragrance, it was simply because its founders were not yet fully satisfied with the projects proposed to them...
This is the story of an accord created about twenty years ago, one that marked the d’Ornano family without, at the time, leading to a creation. […] In 2011, it finally takes flight, with all the courage and imagination instilled over 20 years, according to Sisley for Eau d’Ikar.
Men had never really hesitated to wear Eau de Campagne or the equally warm Eau du Soir, but for years they had to make do with these in the absence of a fragrance truly meant for them. So with Eau d’Ikar, men finally have “their” Sisley. A fragrance of adventure and wonder, a fragrance that belongs to no category, except that of the heart.
This beautiful fragrant myth will not burn its wings and is introduced through an absolutely marvelous advertisement. For Eau d’Ikar, one discovers a fantastical world where a tightrope-walking man crosses life as he crosses imaginary mountains. The poetry of a modern tale or a magical universe, Eau d’Ikar carries us far away, and for a long time.
Eau d’Ikar, the beauty of mastic paired with flowers and fruits
The bottle of Eau d’Ikar translates into glass an artistic work signed by the brand’s favorite Polish artist, Bronislaw Krzysztof. Of course, the sculptor draws on the myth of Icarus to create a stylized wing and a male torso anchored in the fine, clear glass. The cut glass of Eau d’Ikar thus offers a contrasting impression, at once very virile and very poetic.
Vincent Ricord, the perfumer who created Eau d’Ikar, offers the key to his dream world with original, unprecedented top notes where mastic essence mingles with bitter orange and sparkling tart accents. These sparkling, green freshnesses are enhanced by a few aromatic carrot notes. In the heart, mastic absolute plays with the graceful beauty of iris and jasmine, refreshed further by a reed note. Spicy notes of orange pekoe tea lead toward soft woody depths. Sandalwood, vetiver and cistus then blend together to give the distinguished mastic intense masculine power.
Lively, unexpected, masculine. A name that represents a poetic ambition. Man’s deep desire to fly. A fragrance of elegant simplicity, of great quality, rich in beautiful natural essences, according to Sisley for Eau d’Ikar.
