Amber Labdanum Cologne Intense

Amber Labdanum is a Jo Malone London Cologne Intense, introduced in July 2025 exclusively at Harrods. The house offers it in 50 and 100 ml bottles, online and in stores.

The hills of Andalusia

The house takes the fragrance up the sun-drenched hills of Andalusia, where fields of wild cistus warm the breeze with the ambery notes of labdanum. Around Granada, the plants release this fragrant resin in the heat of summer. Its sap has been harvested for centuries, and the ancient world honored it as an incense.

An ode to the Alhambra

Céline Roux, the brand’s Global Head of Fragrance, had long dreamed of creating something connected with this place. She describes Amber Labdanum as an ode to the culture and community of the Alhambra. The producer the house worked closely with shared his warmth, his culture and his country with her.

The perfumer

Yann Vasnier signs the composition with Céline Roux. Together they make labdanum the central material of the fragrance, with a bitter orange for freshness and a warm amber base.

Amber Labdanum joins the house’s Cologne Intense collection, which brings together deeper fragrances made from rare materials from around the world.
