From bergamot to amber

The red rose

The red rose carries the message. Cacharel wants it tender yet sensual, delicate yet vibrant, and makes it the symbol of first love; the pear brings it a fruity freshness rather than a gourmand note.

Musks, amber and cedar

The white musks create, according to the house, an embrace that lingers close to the body. Amber and cedar give the base a woody, warm footing beneath that musky layer.

What the label declares

The label names no raw material: past the trio of alcohol, fragrance and water, it lines up regulated allergens, with no filter and no colorant.

Hydroxycitronellal, at the head of those allergens, signals a synthetic lily of the valley; geraniol and citronellol support the rose, while alpha-isomethyl ionone lends it iris, and cinnamyl alcohol the softness of a warm flower.

Coumarin, benzyl benzoate and benzyl salicylate complete a soft, floral base. No sunscreen or colorant appears on the list, the red glass of the bottle being enough for the color.
