Allure Homme Edition Blanche, a singularity signed Chanel. Chanel fragrances are made of boldness and talent. If Gabrielle Chanel knew how to breathe a new wind of novelty, the current house has managed to carry on in the same vein.
Allure Homme Edition Blanche was released in 2008, following the great success of Allure Homme from 1999. Like feminine allure, men's allure is a particular attitude between elegance and singularity. As for white (from Edition Blanche), it is the emblematic color of the house of Chanel. White also symbolizes purity, love and infinity... Is white not the color par excellence of the wedding dress? Here, Jacques Polge pushes the boundaries of our imagination. Indeed, Allure Homme Edition Blanche reflects an unprecedented hot-cold alchemy.
Jacques Polge reinterprets the success of the Allure Homme fragrance
In 1978, Jacques Polge joined the great house of Chanel, succeeding Henri Robert. From the moment he arrived, Jacques Polge conceived Coco, a genuine tribute to Gabrielle Chanel, who was nicknamed as such... Success was immediate and Jacques Polge counts 26 creations within the house of Chanel. Jacques Polge brought a wind of modernity to Chanel fragrances, crafting bold compositions, notably like that of Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Jacques Polge also took risks by reinterpreting iconic compositions such as N°19 Poudré, or N°5 Eau Première. After the success of Allure Femme in 1999, Jacques Polge thus conceived its alter ego Allure Homme, then its flanker Allure Homme Edition Blanche. Jacques Polge is also the creator of Diva by Emmanuel Ungaro and of Chance by Chanel.
The hot-cold alchemy of Allure Homme Édition Blanche CHANEL
Here, Jacques Polge proposed an extraordinary composition, a fragrance balanced between formal elegance and an assertive singularity. Allure Homme Édition Blanche takes flight on the citrusy, invigorating freshness of Sicilian lemon and Calabrian bergamot. The heart is spicier, thus contrasting with the top notes. Indeed, the heart is composed of pink pepper, white pepper and ginger notes, lending an ultra-masculine character. Finally, the base is at once warm and sensual, combining sandalwood, tonka bean, Haitian vetiver, white musks and Madagascar vanilla. Pink pepper, also called “false pepper tree”, grows mainly in South America. Distilling the pink berries yields an essential oil. Pink pepper gives off peppery tonalities with touches of anise and fruit. As for Haitian vetiver, it is a quintessentially masculine ingredient. Haiti is the leading producer of vetiver. It offers woody, vibrant tonalities. At once earthy and vegetal, the tonalities of Haitian vetiver are highly prized by perfumers.
After the success of Allure Homme, Chanel presents Allure Homme Edition Blanche. More seductive than its predecessor, Allure Homme Edition Blanche is based on a truly distinctive hot-cold alchemy. The whole was, of course, crafted by the very talented Jacques Polge.
