Lavender opens the composition. A flower long distilled for its essence, it offers a clean freshness, a floral facet and a camphoraceous touch, due to constituents it shares with other Mediterranean aromatic plants such as rosemary.

A powdery, resinous heart

Iris brings a powdery, buttery texture, tinted with violet by the irones of its root. Incense adds camphor, wax and spice; clary sage, an herbaceous greenness with earthy accents. Ambrette, the seed of a hibiscus variety, extends the ensemble with a musky, amber and powdery accent.

A woody base

Classified as woody, the composition ties this character to its driest and deepest materials: incense, an olibanum resin readily paired with woody accords, and clary sage, whose earthy base underpins this foundation. Iris and ambrette steer the family toward a powdery facet.
