Cedar brings a dry wood with hints of pencil shavings and resin, sandalwood a velvety, warm wood. Coumarin evokes dry hay, straw, and blond tobacco. Ambrette leans toward a powdery, musky amber, iris toward a buttery powder tinged with violet, musk toward a woody, almost animalic warmth.

Cedar and sandalwood anchor the composition in the woody family: these essences evoke bark, resin, the dense matter of a trunk. Musk extends this vein with its woody, warm note, while ambrette and iris coat it in a powdery texture.
