Ôff Now: the do-not-disturb parenthesis signed Lancôme The zen chapter of Le Monde des Ô After the legendary launch of Ô de Lancôme in 1969, the house returns in 2025 with a sensory trilogy called Le Monde des Ô. Each opus targets a specific emotion: Ô Ver The Top for adrenaline, Ô Zenith for sun-kissed optimism and Ôff Now for absolute relaxation. Conceived as an olfactory pause button, this eau de toilette promises to disconnect mentally in one spritz.
Composition: the relaxing wave of Ôff Now
Shyamala Maisondieu built Ôff Now as an exercise in conscious breathing. Three successive waves run through the formula: Inhale (a splash of citrus and lemony verbena that oxygenates the nose), Hold (a green-floral heart that slows the pace), Exhale (a soft sandalwood-musk base that extends the relaxation). The result: an aromatic-woody signature that acts like a one-minute meditation session, in spray form.
Notes in detail
1. Inhale: a verbena-bergamot granita
The top of Ôff Now delivers a fresh verbena distilled with gentle steam, whose lemony facet immediately soothes tension. The verbena is supported by a Calabrian bergamot with a zesty-green profile, cold-pressed to preserve its sweet-pulpy facet. To avoid any harshness, the formulation team included a micro-drop of white grapefruit, softer, which acts as a buffer between the citrus and the green phase.
2. Hold: soothing foliage and minimalist white bouquet
At the heart, fig leaf appears: green, milky, slightly powdery, evoking the shade of a fig tree by a pool. Paired with sambac jasmine picked at dawn, it creates an impression of a soft halo floating close to the skin. To avoid any indolic surge, the jasmine is fractionated; only the lightest molecules—jasmolactone, linalool—are retained, ensuring a “clean flower” rendering without heaviness. A touch of fine lavender completes the accord: it weaves an aromatic bridge between the lemony verbena of the top and the woody softness of the base.
3. Exhale: milky sandalwood and cocoon musks
The final notes rest on a creamy Australian sandalwood, selected for its “warm milk” tonality rather than its resinous aspect. It blends into a triad of white musks—muscenone™, cosmone™, ambrettolide™—which gives the fragrance a “clean t-shirt” touch and ensures six hours of longevity despite the light concentration. A thread of Siam benzoin adds a vanilla-balsamic caress, extending the cocoon sensation without ever turning sweet.
