Narciso Rodriguez added Pure Musc to his for her line in early 2019, as an eau de parfum. Perfumer Sonia Constant made it a musky chypre that brings musk back to the foreground, the signature material of the whole line since the first for her, launched in 2003.
Musk, plainly
The designer credits musk with a timelessness and an olfactory depth that are both intimate and personal, becoming one with the woman who wears it. Pure Musc would be, in his words, its ultimate interpretation: the most essential version of the for her signature.
A duality
Narciso Rodriguez says he wanted to capture the inner duality of women, their dark side and their luminous aura, strength and vulnerability, the contrasts that make them mysterious. The house sums up its fragrance as a “provocative vision of purity.”
The art of musc
Pure Musc can be worn alone. Yet the house conceived it as the base of a layering ritual, the art of musc, in which each of its notes is calibrated to suit every for her fragrance and create a trail unique to each woman.
A lineage
In 2026, Pure Musc Blanc for Her, an eau de parfum intense also signed by Sonia Constant, offered a brighter variation, opening on aldehydes. The house suggests wearing it over its elder, following the principle of the art of musc.

Narciso Rodriguez makes Dutch model Julia Bergshoeff, whom he met early in her career, the muse of Pure Musc, in a portrait of purity and mystery.
The house presents Dutch model Julia Bergshoeff as the muse of Pure Musc, the image of a modern woman, poised, self-aware and intelligent. Narciso Rodriguez says he met her when she was starting out as a model and hoped she would one day become his muse; he dedicates the fragrance to her.
The portrait accompanying the launch is meant, according to the house, to reflect the purity of the fragrance and what remains mysterious about a woman, echoing the duality of shadow and light the designer claims for Pure Musc.
Pure Musc was not Julia Bergshoeff’s first campaign: she had already modeled for Prada and fronted Proenza Schouler’s fall-winter 2014 campaign before joining Narciso Rodriguez.
