Molinard's love for flowers

Muguet is not the first perfume by Molinard to pay homage to flowers. Indeed, the house is located in the region of Grasse, the world capital of perfumery since the 16th century. Fields of flowers stretch as far as the eye can see there, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for Provençal perfumers. Molinard has been exploring this terroir since it first opened its doors. In fact, the house initially began by selling Eaux de Fleurs. These quickly won over a wealthy clientele, including Queen Victoria herself. Indeed, Molinard is one of those houses that contributed very significantly to the triumph of French craftsmanship. Today, Molinard is led by Celia Lerouge-Bénard, the first woman at the helm of the company, embodying the fifth generation of perfumers at Molinard. She combines strong creative development with a deep respect for tradition. The lightness of lily of the valley bottled

Muguet is a floral and green perfume created in 1994. The scent of lily of the valley comes through from the very start. Indeed, while floral notes more often appear in the heart of perfumes, Molinard chose to display it right from the opening of this juice. Moreover, this continues into its heart. Muguet embraces romanticism, femininity and lightness. To achieve this, the fragrance trails behind it an opulent scent of jasmine and lilac. To temper the very pronounced breath of this enormous floral bouquet, aquatic notes have been added to its recipe. These bring greater freshness. Green notes also enhance this composition. Thus, every element of the lily of the valley is worked into the fragrance, whether its bell, its stem or its leaves. Finally, the whole is wrapped in sandalwood in its sillage. The result is a creamier feel, woven through with extreme softness. Muguet comes in an elongated bottle topped with a copper-colored cap. This displays extreme simplicity. Only the purple border of its label breaks with the clarity of the whole. The result is a timeless visual to which it seems impossible to assign an age.
