Musc

Where to buy
Stories of the heart and family saga at the core of a passion for perfumery, the 5th descendant of the family, Célia Lerouge Bénard, continues to enhance Molinard’s bottles while offering welcome updates. The Les Eléments collection makes it possible to discover unique perfumed raw materials elevated by the Molinard nose, as with this fine Musc released in 2015.
A raw Musc for an assertive Les Éléments collection
Molinard, or the love of flowers, the love of the land of Grasse, the love of a perfume that is sober and delicate, powerful and intoxicating. This ongoing quest for the finest perfumed raw materials turned in 2015 into a precious collection: Les Éléments.
With each new release, the Les Eléments collection by Molinard aims to represent its vision of a material using the finest ingredients gathered in Grasse and around the world. Absolutely modern, resolutely sensual, the Éléments diffuse the eternal magic of the mysterious power of ingredients, according to Molinard for the Les Éléments collection. The expertise of the Molinard master perfumer thus makes it possible to create unique fragrances such as the fine oriental Musc, put on sale in 2015.
Of course musk, a fine animalic and wild scent, has already been revisited many times by the greatest perfumers, for example through Mûre et Musc by l’Artisan Parfumeur, Musc Ravageur by Frédéric Malle, or Flower by Kenzo. However, Molinard offers its own version of Musc by building, around an animalic and woody architecture, backbones of citrus, spices and neroli that make this Musc as wild as it is easy to tame.
The Orient in a bottle for a Musc perfume that exudes raw materials
For this Les Eléments collection, every bottle is offered in two types of presentation: a pretty, elegant bright violet flask or a slender, very understated bottle. Musc is currently offered in perfumeries in its bright violet dress, which highlights the signature color of the Molinard house.
Created exclusively by the Molinard perfumers, Musc opens with very lively top notes of lemon and bergamot. These sparkling citrus notes meet a cocktail of spices and aromatics built with clove, nutmeg and juniper berries. To this citrus-aromatic opening of Musc, Molinard adds a heart touch with an opulent neroli flower born under the sun of Grasse. The heart turns to blond wood thanks to Atlas cedarwood and teak wood. Patchouli blended with mysterious incense brings its sensual and intoxicating richness. In the depths, animalic facets are of course honored with musk and labdanum. Amber and sandalwood punctuate these wild flights with their sweetness and their strength.
Like a warm and captivating sillage, Musc sincerely underscores the traits of a refined and sensual echo, before unfolding in the softness of the skin, according to Molinard for Musc.
