Where to buy

As a bit of background, it draws inspiration from Burberry's famous black trench coat while pairing it with the effervescence of London. After being reinterpreted in a more intense and nocturnal form in 2017, it once again presents a brand new face. Focus on Burberry's latest creation: Mr Burberry Indigo.

Mr Burberry Indigo offers a new aromatic freshness

Just like its first version, Mr Burberry Indigo is the work of perfumer Francis Kurkdjian. However, he chose to considerably transform the scent of this fragrance. He set aside the sensual, urban scents of the earlier versions of Mr Burberry for a walk along the seaside. Mr Burberry Indigo is indeed a nod to the color of water. It offers a maritime stroll and seems delicately lulled by sea spray. Its composition brings together the freshness of citrus with aromatic and woody accents. The result is both invigorating and refreshing, full of energy and deceptively relaxed. Mr Burberry Indigo comes across as a particularly springlike fragrance. Its scent first opens on a Mediterranean freshness of lemon and rosemary. Then, its English elegance resurfaces in a powdery violet accord. Freshness remains ever-present thanks to a breath of mint. Finally, the virility of Mr Burberry Indigo takes over in a base of oakmoss still wrapped in amber.

Burberry's 100 percent British communication for its Indigo version

Mr Burberry Indigo is revealed in the emblematic bottle of this collection. This vessel fits perfectly into Burberry's history. It echoes the house's iconic trench coat in many ways. Its cap recalls the buttons of this coat. A gabardine knot is fixed at the neck, evoking the fabric designed by Thomas Burberry himself more than a century ago. The whole is particularly elegant. The visual for Mr Burberry Indigo is in perfect harmony with its advertising campaign. To embody the image of this new fragrance, Burberry chose Josh Whitehouse. This English musician and actor is a true rising star who continues to captivate with his brooding look and tattoo-covered body. Here, he appears wearing the house's trench coat, offering a glimpse of bare skin. Josh Whitehouse was photographed by Alasdair McLellan, a renowned English photographer, on the British coastline. As one can gather, the house of Burberry took great care to preserve a perfect harmony between its bottle, its communication and the scent of its new fragrance. The result is a burst of freshness already ranking among the most anticipated fragrances of 2018. A little more patience is needed, as Mr Burberry Indigo will be available in three sizes starting mid-April.
