Acqua di Giò Essenza
Although the Acqua Di Gio Essenza fragrance was created in 2012, it stems from a much older story. This dates back to 1996 when the Armani house decided to create a fragrance named Acqua Di Gio.

Now, this is a reinterpretation of that juice which has become legendary. The whole is meant to be more intense and radiant while being less iodic than before. Acqua Di Gio Essenza is a carnal and sensual fragrance that promises to take you on a journey to the heart of the Mediterranean.
Giorgio Armani's inspiring island
Giorgio Armani is an Italian who never stops reminding us of his origins in each of his creations. Proud to be a Mediterranean man, it is also on a small patch of land lost in the middle of the sea that he likes to recharge. Indeed, he very often visits the island of Pantelleria, a place close to Sicily, barely 80 km² in size, whose landscapes have been shaped by volcanic reefs, the sea and the wind. It is a tribute to this place that the Armani house created when it first imagined Acqua Di Gio. Given the public's enthusiasm for this fragrance, the house chose to develop a new version of it. Just like its predecessor, Acqua Di Gio Essenza is a fresh and sensual juice, conceived in the image of the mineral and maritime landscapes of this island. However, over time, the masculinity of the Armani man seems to have become more assertive. Acqua Di Gio Essenza remains a fragrance of escape. However, it opens an entirely new chapter of freshness. It also reveals itself in a more intense light than before, offering us a more virile masculinity endowed with a determined character.
The intense flavor of Acqua Di Gio Essenza
It is the talented perfumer Alberto Morillas who created the Acqua Di Gio Essenza fragrance. He chose to open his composition with typically Mediterranean citrus notes. Acqua Di Gio Essenza contains Sicilian bergamot and grapefruit. However, the Calone used in the Acqua Di Gio Essenza fragrance has this time been replaced by Cascalone. To be more explicit, Calone has an aquatic and marine flavor. It releases light salty accents. Cascalone, on the other hand, is more reminiscent of clear, pure water. Similarly, Paradisone has replaced hedione for a more floral and airy rendering than before. The whole is then infused with an aromatic facet found in the presence of basil and sage. Finally, the base of Acqua Di Gio Essenza is less dark than before. The patchouli is lightened while being combined with tones of leather, Atlas cedar and Haitian vetiver. In parallel, a peppery, smoky and exotic sillage takes shape. This is much more measured than in the first version of the Acqua Di Gio Essenza fragrance. This only makes it gain in character and sensuality.
