L’Eau Rosée

L’Eau Rosée is an eau de toilette from Miu Miu, launched in February 2018 and composed by Daniela Andrier. A floral chypre, it now plays on the two meanings of rosée, morning dew and the color pink: a lychee accord at the top, the house’s emblematic lily of the valley at the heart, white musks at the base.

Jessica, writing for Now Smell This, warns that this is not a rose perfume: at its launch, she smells a clean, peppery lily of the valley under a veil of aldehydic white musk, which she plans to wear to the office all spring.

What critics say

Jessica, Now Smell This, February 2018

Jessica warns that L’Eau Rosée is nothing like a rose perfume. The 2018 version opens on a sweet-tart blackcurrant, quickly veiled by white-petal notes that remind her of shampoo, and passes through a brief phase that recalls the white florals of the 1980s.

Its heart strikes her as a clean, peppery lily of the valley, extended by a sheer veil of aldehydic white musk that reminds her of Chanel N° 5 L’Eau, minus its edges. She did not need a new perfume, she writes, but planned to wear it often to the office that spring.
