L’Eau Rosée is an eau de toilette from Miu Miu, launched in February 2018 and composed by Daniela Andrier. A floral chypre, it now plays on the two meanings of rosée, morning dew and the color pink: a lychee accord at the top, the house’s emblematic lily of the valley at the heart, white musks at the base.
Miu Miu now builds L’Eau Rosée on three stages: a lychee accord at the top, a lily of the valley accord at the heart, white musks at the base. Lily of the valley is the house’s signature, the one of its first perfume.
The 2018 composition was different. The house then described a lily of the valley and blackcurrant buds tightly wrapped in musks, and Now Smell This also listed gardenia, bergamot, tuberose, jasmine, white pepper, honeysuckle, ginger and cedar.
What the label declares
Behind the alcohol, fragrance and water, the list names many natural oils: bergamot, bitter orange peel, geranium flower, ylang-ylang, patchouli, jasmine and rose. It also names an ultraviolet filter and four colorants, two reds, one violet and one yellow.
What the list adds
The list carries neither lychee nor lily of the valley under their own names. It does, however, reveal what the house leaves unsaid: rose, jasmine, ylang-ylang and geranium, bergamot and patchouli, and vanillin.
