Honey is a women’s Eau de Parfum launched by Marc Jacobs in July 2013, following in the footsteps of Dot. Annie Buzantian, a perfumer at Firmenich, pairs pear and mandarin with a heart of orange blossom, peach, apricot and honeysuckle; honey, vanilla and woods form the base. Its round bottle takes up Dot’s design in yellow and gold.

Marc Jacobs announced Honey in spring 2013 and put it on sale on July 15, 2013: an Eau de Parfum in 30, 50 and 100 ml, with a matching body lotion and shower gel. The fragrance extends Dot, released in 2012, and joins Daisy and Lola among the designer’s fragrances.

The formula is the work of Annie Buzantian, at Firmenich, in collaboration with Ann Gottlieb. The house presents a sunny, bright and bold fruity floral for modern, carefree women, and describes butterflies striped in yellow and black, a nod to honey’s sweet and brazen personality.

What critics say

Gaia (The Non-Blonde) finds only a tame fruity floral, closer to a shampoo than a luxury fragrance, in which the honey stays vague and honeysuckle dominates the base.
